With the exception of one canoe :-).   Thomas & Trent were still having some steering difficulties with keeping the canoe in the middle of the channel.  Since Ted was drifting in the channel faster than they were going canoeing from one side of the river to the other he had them tie off to his canoe and he provided the steering.
