Parents please take a BIG note here.  PLEASE do not send glass jars on campouts.  If you need to send pickles or something like that, place them in a tupperware container or something similar.   We wound up with a huge jar of broken applesauce on the floor of one of the cabins, and it would have been far worse if it would have broke outside on the ground.
