The guide would blow an air horn every once in awhile, but still we had a decent sized boat buzz past us at one point.  He was right on top of us before we even saw him.  We all thought he was crazy to be going that fast in the fog, that close to a shoreline that has lots of rock outcroppings, not to mention the occasional kayaker.
