We then came around the corner and found a big screen tv.  It's amazing what the miners had for entertainment back in those days :-).  Actually it was a great slideshow, (which shows you how old that was), of the methods that the miners used get the ore out as easily as possible.  Basically the ore always was using gravity to fall down, it was never picked up until it was in the main shaft going up to the surface.  It was an ingenious way to do things.
