As each Scout would start to swing to a stop, a couple volunteers would try to slow them down by reaching out and catching on to them for a second as they went by. If we wouldn’t have done that it would have taken so long for each person to come to a stop we probably wouldn’t have been able to get all the Scouts through the course.
