Alex, our new friend from Portland, Oregon. Alex appeared at our campsite just as we were about to descend. After hearing of our grizzly encounter, Alex decided to accompany us down. We were happy to have an extra adult with bear spray in our group, and Alex was VERY happy to hike with loud boy scouts singing Camp Ajawah songs to keep the bears away.
