Normally when you 'butter' a pan, you use regular butter.  Troop 33 uses creamy peanut butter, (as long as no one present is allergic to panuts).  The peanut butter gives it a unique taste, and when you are cooking one of these outside on a wood fire it helps prevent it from burning.
