It was after 9:30pm when we finally ate, and the tents didn't get there till around midnight, so it was a pretty late night for the Scouts.  Combined with the fact that they hadn't gotten that much sleep the night before, along with a long day of canoeing through whitewater, meant that they were pretty wiped out by the time they got to sleep.
