After that it was time for the flag lowering ceremony. Unfortunately they don't allow Boy Scout Troops to do it like they did in the past :-(. Instead what they do now is invite any active duty military personnel, as well as any veterans in the crowd, to come forward to the stage. They then ask for volunteers from that group to take the flag down. Ted joined the crowd out on the stage.
