Zach, the newest Scout in Troop 33, was our quasi technical expert on the rockets. He was working hard to figure out the launch problems.
And as you can see we brought a couple fire extinguishers with us, just in case. Even though it had rained recently, the grass was dry, and dead, enough that it wouldn't have taken much to get a grass fire going. And as windy as it was it would have been very difficult to put out. Camp Stearns has had the Fairhaven Fire Department out several times for grass fires started by model rockets, and we didn't want to have to have them do it again because of us.
