One of the fun things about the battles at the castle is that the Scouts learn a lot about tactics. They learn quickly the value of finding a choke point and holding it. The other team learns quickly how hard it is to take a choke point. It doesn't matter if you have 15 people with swords if only 4 of them at a time can get at the enemy. And if those 4 are crammed together too much it's hard to swing the swords.
