The Scouts thought that Ted's stories about all the times he had to change tires at night, in the pouring rain, on the side of a highway with cars buzzing by at 70mph a few feet behind him, kind of funny. They thought he was exaggerating them, but at some point in life they will get to experience the joys of doing it themselves.
