You can see the device that is used to keep the Scouts attached to the safety wire. It's an ingenious device that once it is attached, can not be detached until it's been hooked to the next safety wire. There are two sides to the device, and when one side is attached to a wire, it can't be unlocked until the other side is attached to the next line. Once the next line is attached to the other side, then this one will unlock. It's a great device that makes it so there doesn't have to be a staff person, or adult for us, at each platform.
