Staying at the hotel turned out to be a VERY good idea. Not just for the Scouts, but for the adults as well. After being on the road for two weeks, then driving 10+ hours on Thursday, then spending all day at a very hot amusement park on Friday, and then to have to drive another 10+ hours on Saturday, it was nice that the adults got a chance to sleep in a decent bed. The Scouts at least could sleep in the vehicles, (which a lot of them did).
